Our mission
At Based On Art, we are committed to limiting our environmental impact in a genuine and transparent way, far removed from the greenwashing too often practiced by large corporations. Every decision is guided by a genuine desire to reduce our ecological footprint, while respecting the people behind each stage of production. Our prints are made exclusively with recycled ink, reducing toxic waste and making better use of existing resources. This approach is part of a global vision of carbon neutrality applied to every stage of our chain, from choice of materials to distribution.
The majority of our clothes are made in Quebec, in factories where workers are unionized and enjoy fair working conditions. For items produced elsewhere, we only work with workshops located within a radius of less than 800km, carefully selected for their respect of social and environmental standards. For us, the way people are treated is as essential as the ecological impact. All our decorations and finishes are made in Montreal by a specialized workshop that shares our values. Every detail is designed with sustainability, quality and respect for the environment in mind.
